AAW Destination Chicago Live Results (09/01/2022)

Indy Pro Wrestling is here live in attendance for AAW’s Destination Chicago which is live from the Logan Square Auditorium.

1. Scramble Match: Big Beef Gnarls Garvin defeated Diamond Cut Ace Perry, Dante Leon, Gary Jay, Gringo Loco and Laredo Kid when BIG BEEF hit a big splash on Gary Jay for the win


2. Mike Bennett (with Maria) defeated Silas Young after a piledriver. This was Bennett’s first win in AAW after losing his first three matches in the company. He introduced his wife Maria as a huge surprise and the “missing piece of the puzzle.”


3. AAW Women’s Championship Match: Christi Jaynes (c) defeated Billie Starkz to retain the AAW Women’s Championship


4. Russ Jones vs. SCHAFF ends in a no contest after Russ Jones former manager Chuck Smooth attempted to hand SCHAFF some brass knuckles. SCHAFF refused to use them and brought Smooth in the ring. SCHAFF was jumped by Solomon Tupu and Conan Lycan, and local wrestler and known troublemaker Joe Alonzo. Together, the three men beat down on SCHAFF until Heather Reckless (who teamed with Russ against the tag champs) came into the ring – she proceeded to get beat down by Alonzo as Smooth’s new group “Smooth Operations” was born. After the new group left, Jones checked on Reckless and showed respect to SCHAFF


5. AAW Heritage Championship Match: Davey Vega defeated Ace Austin (c) after a rollup to become the new AAW Heritage Champion


6. Impact World Championship Match: Josh Alexander (c) defeated Masha Slamovich to retain the Impact World Championship when Alexander had Masha in the Texas Cloverleaf and Masha refused to quit. She eventually passed out due to the pain. After the match Josh offered his spot in this year’s Jim Lynam Memorial Tournament and noted “Man, woman, I don’t give a f***. You are one of the toughest people I have ever been in the ring with”


7. Amish Tornado Tag Team Match: Hartenbower and Mr. Ren Jones defeated Levi Everett and Nate Webb after Mr. Ren Jones pinned Everett


8. Davey Richards defeated Rich Swann after a leglock submission


9. Manders, ACH and Jah-C defeated Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) and Zachary Wentz after Manders pinned Wentz after a lariat


10. AAW Heavyweight Championship Match: Jake Something defeated Mat Fitchett (c) to become the new AAW Heavyweight Champion after a black hole slam (Fitchett fails in his sixth defense, Something becomes the seventh man to have won the AAW Triple Crown (AAW Heavyweight, AAW Heritage and AAW Tag Team Championships))


AAW’s next event will be Friday, October 14 from the Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago.
