AEW will look to assemble its talent roster in the coming weeks, and it appears Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix are high on their wishlist.

With the news that All Elite Wrestling is officially happening enveloping the wrestling world, the next question on everyone’s mind is who will be a part of it. We know the company will have big names like Cody, The Young Bucks, and So Cal Uncensored, but who else could be joining? Reporting today is indicating we could see The Lucha Bros headed to AEW very soon.

Hot off an instant classic with LAX at Impact Wrestling’s Homecoming last night at The Asylum in Nashville, Tennessee, The Lucha Bros could already be on their way out of Impact.

Per Cageside Seats (via Wrestling News World), it looks like Pentagon and Fenix are in high demand by AEW, but Impact isn’t going to just let them go.

AEW offered contracts to Pentagon and Fenix over the past two weeks and, in response, Impact Wrestling offered big six-figure deals, according to Wrestling News World. That said, AEW apparently then tripled that offer because they want to have both at the rally in Jacksonville.

If true, this is big news about both Impact and AEW. While we’ve heard big figures for a marquee name like Kenny Omega that WWE allegedly has heavy interest in, this is big money for these two indie stars.

Both Pentagon and Fenix have had a spectacular run on the independent scene in the last few years. They came within an eyelash of becoming the Impact World Tag Team Champions last night, and Pentagon even became Impact World Champion in April of 2018. They are also the current MLW Tag Team Champions, and held the PWG Tag Titles for several months back in 2017.

Any fan who has seen just a fraction of their matches over the last few years would know how great they are in the ring, and their popularity has only risen. Just listen to the crowd at Homecoming when Pentagon signalled “Cero Miedo.” There’s no doubt that Impact has that fan reaction and popularity in mind here.
