AEW Dynamite is set to deliver a star-studded show on March 1.
Just a few days before AEW Revolution, Wednesday night’s episode will feature the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale. Plus, HOOK will defend the FTW Championship against Matt Hardy, and Orange Cassidy will put his AEW All-Atlantic Championship on the line against Big Bill. The show will also feature the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.
AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Big Bill (with Stokely Hathaway)
Cassidy evades Bill early on and leaves the ring as he plays a game of cat and mouse with the challenger. He rolls out of the ring and frustrates the big man. Cassidy takes Stokely Hathaway’s sunglasses. Back in the ring, Bill overpowers Cassidy, who uses his quickness to counter him. Bill dumps Cassidy with a sidewalk slam. Bill continues to ground Cassidy and goes to slam him through a table. The champion fights out of it, but Bill counters an Orange Punch into a chokeslam through a table. Bill keeps controlling the action. Danhausen distracts him, and Cassidy tries to rally, but Bill locks in the Full Nelson.
Cassidy drops to the ground to avoid a big boot. Bill waves off a curse by Danhausen and goes to slam him, but Hathaway hits him with a cast instead. Cassidy takes Stokely out with a dive. Cassidy hits the Stun-Dog Millionaire. He rocks Bill with an Orange Punch and hits him with another. Cassidy hits a diving Orange Punch for the win.

A clip of Jon Moxley playing after his win over Evil Uno plus; Moxley, covered in blood, says it tastes like victory. He says he’s a sick man, and he does this because he’s a sick man. Moxley makes it clear he’s not the kind of guy you want to be in a dark alley with, and he says he tried to leave Hangman alone. Moxley says Hangman Page is a great man, but he’s not the same animal as him. Moxley declares that he’ll die to protect what’s his.
The Elite (Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks) started to make their entrance, but the lights went out. They came back on, and the House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews) attacked them. House of Black pose with the AEW World Trios Championship.
Face of the Revolution Ladder Match: Komander vs. Action Andretti vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Ortiz vs. AR Fox vs. Sammy Guevara vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Konosuke Takeshita
Ortiz takes the fight to Kingston as the match quickly breaks down into chaos. Andretti dives onto Guevara, and Komander dives onto Fox. Fox slams Komander to the mat. Kingston and Ortiz brawl up the ramp. Andretti dropkicks a ladder into Guevara. Komander takes Andretti down with a dropkick. Hobbs trucks over Komander. He takes control and slams Komander onto a ladder. Hobbs and Takeshita square off and trade blows. Fox takes out a few of his opponents with a springboard dive. Komander walks the ropes and dives onto everyone. Guevara gains the upper hand after a brief clash with Andretti. Takeshita drops Komander with a stiff shot. Fox hits Hobbs with a chair, and the powerhouse slams him onto a ladder.
Guevara and Andretti are both down after a Falcon Arrow. Komander hits a shooting Star Press onto Fox. Takeshita hits Komander with a Blue Thunder Bomb off a ladder. Daniel Garcia runs in and tips over the ladder while Andretti and Takeshita are on the ladder. He attacks Andretti. The commentary team notes that Kingston and Ortiz had to be separated as they brawled in the back. Guevara stands on top of a ladder and hits a Swanton Bomb on Andretti through a ladder. Takeshita takes control and climbs a ladder, but Hobbs knocks him down. Hobbs unhooks the ring to win the match.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs
Hobbs starts to confront TNT Champion Samoa Joe, who was on commentary for the match. Wardlow, Joe’s challenger at AEW Revolution comes out, and Joe escapes as Wardlow attacks the security guards.
Chuck/Trent are out of the battle royale. Danhausen and Orange Cassidy are in, but Orange is seemingly hurt.
Chris Jericho vs. Peter Avalon
Avalon takes the fight to Jericho and dives onto him. Avalon rocks Jericho with a boot and keeps up the attack. He gets a two count with a DDT. Jericho hits a Codebreaker out of nowhere for the win.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Jericho attacks Avalon with his signature bat. Ricky Starks makes the save. Jericho vows to beat Starks at AEW Revolution. The Jericho Appreciation Society runs in and attacks Starks. Jericho floors Starks with the Judas Effect.
In a promo, Hangman Page discussed his feud with Jon Moxley and vowed to take everything from him at AEW Revolution. He says he knows he’ll have to be an animal to win the match, and that’s exactly what he’ll do.
In the ring, Renee Paquette introduces Christian Cage. He brings up “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry’s claim that he will win a singles title in 2023. Cage says he’s going to win a championship this year. He discusses his rivalry with Perry and takes issue with the way Perry and his generation treat this business like a video game. Cage challenges Jungle Boy to a fight at AEW Revolution and insults Perry and his father. He says “Jungle Boy” doesn’t have grit or what it takes to make it in this business. The lights go out. Jungle Boy is shown digging in a yard. It becomes clear that he’s digging a grave, and a tombstone with Cage’s name on it appears.
FTW Championship: HOOK (c) vs. Matt Hardy (with Ethan Page, Stokely Hathaway and Isiah Kassidy)
An early distraction from The Firm members helps Hardy take control. HOOK rallies and suplexes Hardy. HOOK levels Hardy with a lariat. Hardy drops HOOK with a Side Effect. HOOK counters a second side effect. Both men are down after their heads collide. Page takes Hathaway’s cast and hits HOOK. Hardy gets a two count. HOOK counters the Twist of Fate, and HOOK forces Hardy to tap out to the Redrum.
Winner and still FTW Champion: HOOK
With the win, HOOK earned a No Disqualification Match with Stokely Hathaway.
In a promo, the House of Black address their upcoming match The Elite. They leave the titles back behind and say that The Elite have already lost.
Toni Storm (with Saraya) vs. Riho
Riho and Storm face off, and they’re evenly matched early on. Riho stomps Storm and gets a two count. Storm reaches the ropes to escape a crossface. Saraya distracts Riho, and Storm drops her with a running hip attack. Saraya hits Riho with a cheap shot. Storm slams Riho into the ring post. AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker come to ringside. Storm maintains the advantage and grounds Riho. Riho rallies. Storm counters a Tiger Feint Kick, but Riho hits a diving stomp. Riho gets a two count with a Northern Lights suplex. Storm slams Riho to the mat by her hair. She gets a two count with a running hip attack. Baker distracts Storm, and Riho rolls her up for the win.
Winner: Riho
Britt Baker and Storm brawl after the match. Saraya and Hayter duke it out in the ring. Ruby Soho runs down and joins the fight. She drops Saraya with a shot to the face, and she takes the fight to Hayter. They keep brawling.
In a promo, Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes challenge Mogul Affiliates to a match on AEW Rampage.
Casino Tag Team Royale
Dark Order (Alex Reynolds & John Silver) come to the ring, and they get attacked from behind by Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta. They brawl at ringside before they get in the ring. RUSH and Preston Vance come to the ring and take control. The Lucha Brothers are the next team in, and they take control with a flurry of offense. Matt Menard & Angelo Parker and Aussie Open enter the match. Yuta and Castagnoli eliminate Reynolds and Silver. Top Flight come to the ring and take charge with a flurry of offense. Menard gets eliminated.
The Kingdom are the next team up. Tony Nese, Ari Daivari, Josh Woods, and Ari Daivari attack the Lucha Brothers at ringside. They roll the duo back into the ring, and RUSH eliminates Penta El Zero Miedo before Fenix gets eliminated. Dante Martin dodges a charging Preston Vance, and he goes over the ropes. Darius eliminates RUSH with a dropkick. Aussie Open eliminates Top Flight. Danhausen and Orange Cassidy enter the match, but Cassidy clearly isn’t 100%. Cassidy eliminates Angelo Parker. The Butcher and The Blade enter the match. Aussie Open eliminates The Kingdom, but Yuta and Castagnoli eliminate Aussie Open. Dark Order come back down to ringside and distract Yuta and Castagnoli. Cassidy and Danhausen eliminates him. The Butcher and The Blade and Cassidy and Danhausen are announced as the final two teams. Danhausen dumps Butcher and Blade over the ropes to win the match.
Winners: Orange Cassidy and Danhausen
Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal attack Cassidy and Danhausen after the match. The Gunns get involved, but The Acclaimed make the save.
A video package highlights the upcoming world title match between MJF and Bryan Danielson.
In-Ring Segment: Bryan Danielson and MJF
Danielson comes to the ring. Renee Paquette brings up MJF’s 2014 post about dropping out of college that referenced Danielson. Danielson looks back on being forced to retire before MJF comes out. Danielson cuts him off before he says anything. He recalls MJF’s explanation for why he hates him. Danielson says MJF has done nothing to earn what he wants, including the title. Danielson says MJF deserved to have his fiancé leave him. He says he has been fighting for his whole life. Danielson makes it clear that he came to AEW to fight. He says he wants to win the world title, and he’s willing to fight for it. Danielson told MJF to fight with everything he has on Sunday, and if doesn’t, he will get his head kicked in. MJF walks away without saying anything.
