AEW Rampage Live Results (08/23/2024)

After joining forces with The Butcher in a losing effort to The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy, Tomohiro Ishii, and Mark Briscoe, The Outrunners look to redeem themselves as they square off with two thirds of the reigning Ring of Honor World Six Man Tag Team Champions Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich. The aforementioned Mark, Ishii, and Kyle O'Reilly also look to bring home another win for the group tonight as they collide with Johnny TV, The Beast Mortos, and Brian Cage in trios action.

Mina Shirakawa and Robyn Renegade will both be returning to "Rampage" tonight as they go head-to-head with one another. Shirakawa's last (and only ever) match on Friday nights came on June 7 when she defeated Serena Deeb while Renegade's last bout came on May 18 when she came up short against Deonna Purrazzo.

Coming off his loss to the aforementioned Cassidy in a Three-Way match to determine who the first entrant in the AEW All In Casino Gauntlet Match on the August 14 edition of "AEW Dynamite", Roderick Strong looks to regain some momentum as he takes on Fuego Del Sol. Del Sol hasn't competed in an AEW ring since he lost to Juice Robinson on the February 20, 2023 edition of "AEW Dark: Elevation".

Additionally, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun of Gates of Agony will be returning to action on AEW programming  for the first time since the "Dynamite" Beach Break special back in July when they and the aforementioned Cage came up short against Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata as they face Iron Savages' Bronson and Boulder.

We are live! Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone greet audiences at home as The Conglomeration makes their way down to the ring. Johnny TV, The Beast Mortos, Brian Cage, and Taya Valkyrie are already waiting inside, and Roderick Strong has joined the commentary desk.

The Conglomeration vs. Johnny TV, The Beast Mortos, and Brian Cage (w/ Taya Valkyrie)

Johnny and O'Reilly begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. O'Reilly turns Johnny inside out with a kick, then tagsin Ishii. Ishii and O'Reilly fire off chops and kicks respectively on Johnny, then level him and an interfering Cage. O'Reilly and Ishii land a double shoulder tackle on Johnny. Mortos then tags in and looks to level Ishii with a double shoulder tackle as Ishii does the same.

O'Reilly and Cage become legal, and O'Reilly fires off kicks on Cage. Cage hits a slam on O'Reilly, then tags Johnny back in. Johnny pins O'Reilly, but O'Reilly kicks out. Johnny fires off forearms on him and tags Mortos back in. Mortos and Johnny double team on O'Reilly, but Mortos catapults O'Reilly into a kick from Johnny. Johnny then delivers a springboard moonsault to O'Reilly, and Mortos rains down Hammer and Anvil elbows on him.

Back from the break, Johnny delivers a superkick to Mark on the apron and looks to land a strike on Ishii. Ishii stays standing, and O'Reilly tags him in as Mortos tags in on his side. Ishii then lands a pair of Brainbusters on Mortos and Cage before landing a German suplex on Johnny and tagging in Mark.

Mark delivers an enzuigiri to Mortos on the apron and hits a second one on Cage. He then levels Johnny, but Cage catches him with the Drill Claw. O'Reilly takes down Cage with a running knee, but Mortos levels him. Ishii hits a clothesline on Mortos, but Johnny levels him.

O'Reilly tosses Mark a chair, and Mark sets it up in the ring. He looks to use it as a launch pad to level Johnny on the outside, but Valkyrie grabs it from him.

Johnny and Mortos then fly to level Ishii and O'Reilly on the outside, and Mark sets the chair back up. He uses it as a launch pad to fly and take down everyone on the outside. Ishii connects with a clothesline on Johnny. The now legal O'Reilly then takes him down and locks in a cross armbreaker. Johnny taps out.

Winners: The Conglomeration

The Undisputed Kingdom then makes their way down to the ring and stares down The Conglomeration on the ramp as O'Reilly joins the commentary desk. Fuego Del Sol follows.

Roderick Strong (w/ The Undisputed Kingdom) vs. Fuego Del Sol

The bell rings and Strong wastes no time going after Del Sol. He fires off chops on him, but Del Sol pins him. Strong kicks out and lands a backbreaker on Del Sol, then follows it up with a vertical suplex and wears Del Sol down with a submission.

Del Sol rolls up Strong to escape the hold, and Strong kicks out. Del Sol connects with an enzuigiri and pins Strong, but Strong kicks out.

Del Sol fires off kicks on Strong's midsection and lands a springboard moonsault, then delivers another kick and ascends to the top. Strong intercepts him with an enzuigiri and sends him crashing into the top turnbuckle spine first. He then delivers his signature double knee tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong

Mina Shirakawa then makes her way down to the ring. Robyn Renegade follows.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Robyn Renegade

The bell rings and Shirakawa trips Robyn. She lands a Russian Leg Sweep and a forearm to her leg, then sends her leg crashing into the mat and continues to wear it down. Robyn then delivers a pair of double knees to Shirakawa in the corner and mocks her.

Back from the break, Robyn hits a stomp on Shirakawa's spine and goes for a pin, but Shirakawa kicks out. Shirakawa then lands a Dragon Screw on Robyn's injured leg and cinches in a Figure Four Leg Lock, but Robyn makes her way over to the bottom rope to break the hold. Robyn levels Shirakawa, but Shirakawa cinches in another Figure Four Leg Lock. Robyn taps out.

Winner: Mina Shirakawa

We then head backstage and see Lexy Nair speaking with Hikaru Shida. Shida vents her frustrations about losing her TBS Championship match against Mercedes Mone a couple of weeks ago and not walking into Wembley Stadium as the AEW Women's World Champion.

Back at ringside, Gates of Agony make their way out. Iron Savages are already waiting inside.

Bishop Kaun and Bronson begin the action. The bell rings and Kaun fires off chops on Bronson in the corner. Bronson fires off clotheslines on Kaun in the opposite corner, but Kaun levels him with a clothesline. Boulder and Toa Liona tag in and stare each other down before looking to level one another with clotheslines.

Boulder fires off right hands on Liona and the two continue trying to level one another. Bronson and Kaun tag back in, and Kaun lands a missile dropkick on Boulder in the corner using Liona as a launching pad. Liona delivers a Hip Attack to Bronson in the corner, and Kaun follows it up with a meteora. Gates of Agony then deliver a double Razor's Edge to Bronson for the win.

Winners: Gates of Agony

The Von Erichs and Dustin Rhodes then make their way down to the ring. The Outrunners and Erica Leigh follow.

Ross and Truth Magnum begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Ross lands a dropkick on Magnum before Turbo Floyd and Marshall both tag in. Marshall connects with a series of bodyslams on Floyd and catches Magnum with a double dropkick with Ross.

Back from the break, Floyd has Ross locked in a submission. Ross escapes, and Floyd levels him with a bodyslam. He looks to land an elbow drop, but Ross avoids it. Magnum tags in, and Ross looks to roll him up. Magnum blocks him, but Ross eventually pins him. Unbeknownst to him, Floyd has tagged in and levels Ross with a crossbody.

Floyd fires off right hands on Ross, then connects with a headbutt to him. Marshall tags in and takes down The Outrunners, then delivers a cannonball to Floyd and ascends to the top. He delivers a moonsault and goes for a pin, then looks to cinch in the Iron Claw on Floyd. Magnum comes to Floyd's aid, but Ross intercepts him and locks in the Iron Claw on him. Marshall does the same to Floyd and pins him for the win.

Winners: The Von Erichs

After the match, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven appear at ringside as Gates of Agony blindside The Von Erichs and Rhodes. Sammy Guevara and The Conglomeration then run down to the ring to even the score, and everyone continues brawling with one another. The Von Erichs, Rhodes, Guevara, and The Conglomeration stand tall as the show goes off the air.
