Impact Wrestling has several top stars that are currently looking at the end of their company contracts as 2020 nears its conclusion. PWInsider reported the following updates on former champions Ethan Page, Taya Valkyrie, and Sami Callihan.
As of now it appears that Page does not plan to re-sign. This would put an end to his partnership with Josh Alexander, and their dominant tag team the North, who currently hold the record for longest title reign in company history. Page’s final vlog, as well as the feeling amongst friends and colleagues, indicate that his run with the company is over.
On the plus-side, the report mentions that Callihan is looking to remain with Impact, or at least he has “as of this week.”
As for Valkyrie, there’s no current word on what she plans on doing. She had a one-year renewal kick-in last December, which saw her carry the Knockouts championship for a large portion of the year. She was also expected to appear in Season 4 of the hit Netflix series “Glow,” but the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
