The location and date of IMPACT Slammiversary 2022 have reportedly been revealed.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, IMPACT Wrestling will return home to the city where the company originated in 2002, Nashville, on July 19 and 20 for the pay-per-view and a follow-up set of television tapings for AXS TV. Sapp expects the date and location to be announced by IMPACT Wrestling imminently, which could be as soon as this Sunday’s Rebellion pay-per-view.
Nashville was home for IMPACT Wrestling throughout much of the pandemic, as the company established a base of operations at Skyway Studios for several months through 2020 and 2021. Slammiversary 2022 would mark the third consecutive Slammiversary event in Nashville for IMPACT, and the first taping in the city since October 2021. Prior to the pandemic, IMPACT’s last PPV event that took place in Nashville was the Homecoming event in January 2019.
Slammiversary 2022 will serve as the 20-year anniversary of IMPACT Wrestling and for it to go back to where it all began for this pay-per-view seems extremely fitting.
In recent years, Slammiversary has been a big driving force for the company to introduce several talents to their roster, including The Good Brothers, The IInspiration, and many more.
Who could pop up for IMPACT Wrestling this July is anybody’s guess. But you have to believe the company will have some surprises up its sleeve when it comes to the 20-year anniversary of the company.
IMPACT Slammiversary 2022 will be available on both FITE.TV and local pay-per-view providers.
