Two IMPACT Wrestling heavyweights have been added to The Wrestling Showcase in September, as the bracket will now feature Josh Alexander vs. Moose in a first-round matchup. Killer Kross was recently pulled from the bracket due to signing with WWE and a replacement competitor was expected to be announced. Kross’ original opponent, Tony Nese, is also no longer in the tournament, but no reason for his removal has been announced at this time.

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, The Wrestling Showcase will hold its inaugural event, emanating from The Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg, Illinois and available live world-wide, only on FITE. The event will feature some of the most recognizable names in professional wrestling and will be headlined by a one-night, eight-man tournament to crown the first-ever Wrestling Showcase Champion.
With Killer Kross having to withdraw from the tournament due to being signed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), The Wrestling Showcase is proud to announce that he will be replaced by IMPACT Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander. Taking on Alexander in the first-round of the tournament will be IMPACT superstar and a two-time IMPACT Grand Champion, Moose
The eyes of the professional wrestling world will be focused on the suburbs of Chicago during Labor Day weekend, and The Wrestling Showcase promises to deliver an action-packed show for fans in attendance, and those watching exclusively on FITE.
