New MLW Champions Crowned At SUPERFIGHT Event

MLW held their big SUPERFIGHT event and two new champions were crowned.

First, in a fun back-and-forth encounter, The Hart Foundation (Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Teddy Hart) were able to defeat Pentagon Jr. and Fenix for the MLW World Tag Team championship. The final moments of the match saw Teddy Hart connect with a Canadian destroyer on Fenix for the victory. This effectively ended the 200-plus title reign for The Lucha Bros, who won the gold back in May 2018.

The second title change occurred in the main event as “Filthy” Tom Lawlor defeated Low Ki for the MLW World Heavyweight championship!

Low Ki has reigned as the top dog of Major League Wrestling since July, defeating former MLW star Shane Strickland. Last night, Lawlor took everything the former champ had in his arsenal, including a Double Foot Stomp. In the end, Lawlor was able to lock in a rear-naked choke and Low Ki eventually passed out to the hold.
