Nic & Ryan Nemeth Crowned New TNA Tag Team Champions At Rebellion

The pre-match video package airs to tell the story leading up to part two of our three-part triple-main event at TNA Rebellion. The TNA World Tag-Team Championships will be on-the-line as The Hardys duo of Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy defend against The Nemeth Brothers of Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth.

The tag lines graphic flashes on the screen with some notable stats that Hannifan runs down as fans are heard very loudly chanting “Hardy! Hardy! in anticipation in the background. We hear the familiar sounds of the unzip and the, well, pleased female moan, before Nic and Ryan Nemeth emerge.

The Nemeth Brothers make their way out wearing the TNA World Tag-Team Championships, which still belong to The Hardys, but were stolen by Nic and Ryan during their visit to the creepy Hardy Compound on the TNA Rebellion “go-home” episode of TNA iMPACT this past Thursday night.

After a healthy delay, the iconic sounds of The Hardys’ theme hits and the roof nearly explodes off of the Galen Center, as the legendary duo of Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy emerge and head to the ring to a sustained roar from the L.A. crowd.

Joe Hendry is the only man on the roster anywhere near their level in terms of crowd reactions week-to-week. As soon as they hit the ring, they tussle briefly with The Nemeth Bros. Nic and Ryan bail to the floor, leaving Jeff and Matt to reclaim their belts. They pose with them on the ropes.

The referee takes the titles and holds them up high to show all four men what’s at stake in this one. Fans chant “Hardy! Hardy!” in the background. The bell sounds and all four collide once again. Jeff and Ryan powder out to the floor, while Matt goes to work on Nic in the corner.

Matt is isolated in the ring for a while, and is on the defensive the entire time. He finally makes the much-needed hot tag to Jeff, who helps shift the offensive momentum in the favor of The Hardys. They appeared to be wrapping things up, when Matt walks into the referee’s arm in mid-pin count.

This allows things to continue. Matt heads out to deal with Ryan at ringside. He ends up getting slammed in violent fashion on an unfolded steel chair set up on the floor. Meanwhile back in the ring, Nic hits Danger Zone on Jeff and covers him for the win. We have new TNA World Tag-Team Champions.
