Ken Shamrock will be inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame next month at Bound for Glory.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson agreed to make a special appearance on Impact Wrestling to help induct an old wrestling friend, Ken "Shamrock" into Impact Wrestling's hall of fame. Shamrock asked Johnson for the favor on social media and The Rock enthusiastically replied that he'd make it happen.
Shamrock and Johnson used to wrestle together in the late '90s. According to Shamrock, these matches were a part of his "greatest memories in wrestling," so the pro-wrestler only saw it fitting that Johnson would also aid in his induction ceremony.
Johnson's history with Shamrock goes back to the very start of his pro-wrestling career. Johnson defeated Shamrock on the road to winning his first WWE Championship with an infamous 'chair' battle that led "The Rock" to slam a metal folding chair into Shamrock's face.
Ken Shamrock will join Impact Wrestling's hall of fame during Impact Wrestling's "Bound for Glory" pay-per-view weekend event, airing on Oct. 24. Ken Shamrock has previously been inducted into Ultimate Fighting Championship's hall of fame as well.
Shamrock currently serves as a subject matter expert in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, being one of few mixed martial artists who are allowed to train others in the military. He's previously been a Worldwide Wrestling Federation champion -- now known as the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) -- and founded Valor Bare Knuckle in 2019, a sporting platform for fans to watch bare-knuckle-style boxing.
