Tony Khan Reveals That AEW Grand Slam Is Now The Highest Grossing TV Event In AEW History

It seems like AEW has hit a home run with the Grand Slam event, at least from a financial perspective.

On September 21, the company will return to Arthur Ashe Stadium for AEW Grand Slam, a buzzworthy taping of AEW Dynamite and Rampage in New York.

Ahead of the show, company president Tony Khan tweeted that the event is now the highest-grossing event in AEW history. To clarify, he wrote that it was the company’s biggest live gate, as they’re over the $1 million mark.

For comparison, the inaugural Grand Slam event in 2021 reportedly netted slightly over $960,000 with a reported 18,300 paying fans in attendance.

AEW previously broke the $1 million mark at the gate with the Double or Nothing 2022 pay-per-view.
