A new report provides an update on Mustafa Ali’s contract status with TNA.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali is not locked down to a contract of any kind with TNA. Instead, he is working with them on a per-appearance basis, at least for the time being. Outside of TNA, Ali has been working with NJPW, and he will compete at NJPW Windy City Riot.
Sapp also writes that he has heard that other televised wrestling companies have maintained interest in possibly working with the former WWE star.
In addition to working with TNA and New Japan Pro Wrestling, we’ve heard that other televised wrestling companies have maintained interest in possibly working with Mustafa Ali.
Ali made his in-ring debut for TNA at TNA No Surrender and beat Chris Sabin to win the X-Division Championship.
Indy Pro Wrestling will provide more information as it becomes available.
