Will Ospreay Signs With All Elite Wrestling

Tony Khan hyped a new signee for All Elite Wrestling this week, touting them as someone the wrestling world greatly respected. AEW Full Gear saw Ospreay revealed as the mystery man, and he came down to the ring and signed his contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Ospreay addressed the crowd and said he had some bad news. He then explained that he’s still finishing his contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. However, once that expires, he is All Elite. He wants Tony Khan to line up the best competition he can, including at All In.

Will Ospreay’s contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling expires in February 2024. He said that once that’s done, he will be on the road to AEW Revolution. This implies that PPV would be his first as a full-time AEW talent.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast first reported that Ospreay was the new AEW signee.

Ospreay’s Career Accolades

Will Ospreay has enjoyed a decorated career in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He is a 2-time (and current) IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion. In addition, he is a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, 3-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, NEVER Openweight Champion and 2-time Best of the Super Juniors winner (2016, 2019).
