YUJI NAGATA FACES SILAS YOUNG AT WAR OF THE WORLDS IN TORONTO

Japanese legend Yuji Nagata’s first-ever singles match in ROH will be against Silas Young on the War of the Worlds tour stop in Toronto on May 9.

Young, the self-proclaimed “Last Real Man in Pro Wrestling,” will certainly be facing a real man in the hard-hitting, no-nonsense Nagata. The two-time former IWGP Heavyweight Champion is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in New Japan Pro-Wrestling history, having engaged in classic bouts with the likes of Keiji Mutoh (aka The Great Muta) and Masa Chono during his 27-year career.

In recent years, Nagata has seen a career resurgence, winning the NEVER Openweight Championship in 2016 and competing in his final G1 Climax tournament in 2017, a tournament he won in 2001.

As Young has demonstrated time and again -- most recently against Jonathan Gresham on an episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” -- he has a “win by any means necessary” philosophy, so Nagata will have to be at the top of his game when they meet.

Join us in Toronto or live on HonorClub to see this first-time-ever match!
